A lovely blogger friend of mine Lucy (such a lovely blog - cute baby, yummy recipes and crafty bits to boot - what more could a girl ask for?!) asked me if I could help out a friend of hers and introduced me to the very talented Carmi from The Inker's Boudoir.
I absolutely love the bold colours and lines reminiscent of tattoo art as well as the more delicate, Japanese style patterns and motifs which she uses in her gorgeous cards. Carmi was kind enough to send me two sets of her Christmas cards - that's right - it's that time of year again and anyone who knows me knows how much I love Christmas so this review was perfect for me!!
Both sets contain 8 cards and 8 crisp, white envelopes. The cards are square and made from thick, good quality card with the vibrant design printed on the front.
The second set are smaller, measuring 100mm x 100mm, blank inside, square cards of the same quality but with a more retro/kitsch design featuring doilies and polka dots and more modern fonts. There are 2 designs in 4 colourways (2 of each). The set of 8 cards costs £5.
All in all - I would buy these cards. They are lovely quality for a great price. Most of all it's great to support independent artists and retailers. I also love knowing that these are a bit different and something special - when I send these out I'm pretty sure they'll stand out from the crowd on the mantlepieces of my friends and family.
Please stop by and check out the full selection of Carmi's designs
So, full disclosure - I was sent two sets of cards for free in exchange for this review. My opinions are honest and my own and if I didn't like these - you would know about it. Thanks so much Carmi!!
