Compulsory Christmas Viewing!!!!

Hello hello and a very Merry Season to you all.......
Today we have a Christmas list....not a list of present ideas for me (I've already written to FC himself and in Claus we trust so it's all good!)....this list is my top Compulsory Christmas Viewing - TV and films without which it simply wouldn't be Christmas! So, grab that festive Radio Times and a red pen then find these gems and circle them for mandatory Merriness - or, you know, if you're not over 25 then just Sky+ these bad boys (down with the kids yo!)

Here goes nothing - by the way, these aren't in exact order - it was just too hard in some cases but you're going to watch all of them anyway so it doesn't really matter right?

Elf - "Francisco, that's fun to say!"

Home Alone (1) "Merry Christmas ya filthy animal"

The Nightmare Before Christmas "Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems, in a place perhaps you've seen in your dreams"

Miracle on 34th Street (the Dickie Attenborough version!)

Love Actually "Where the fuck is my fucking coat?!"

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey)

Die Hard (1) "Yippie-ki-yay motherfucker!!!"

It's A Wonderful Life - need I say more?!

The Santa Clause - "If something should happen to me put on my suit, the reindeer will know what to do."

A Muppet's Christmas Carol "Light the lamp not the rat! Light the lamp not the rat!"

Meet Me in St. Louis Love a good sing song :)

Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special "MidgeUre - you know like MidgeUre cheddar!"

Black Adder's Christmas Carol "Merry Christmas Mr Slack Bladder"

White Christmas That's what I'm dreaming of this and every year!!!

Click the links below to see my reviews of the following lame, yet awesome Christmas films:

Mr. St. Nick

Single Santa Seeks Mrs Claus

Bernard and the Genie

Jingle All the Way

Special mention goes to any West Wing Christmas episodes - any episode of that show in general but they do a good Christmas episode!!

Last but not least:- I leave you in the capable hands of the amazing Bill Murray.

  1. Oh Bill Murray. That man is SUCH a legend. I heartily agree with your list above; Home Alone, Elf, and Die Hard are definitely my favourites. xxx
